Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, section 9.2.1.1, studies on biodegradation in general do not need to be conducted as dibismuth trisulfide is an inorganic compound.
In addition, in accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006, Annex IX ,section 9.2.1.2, 9.2.1.4 tests on "biodegradation in water and sediment" do not need to be conducted as dibismuth trisulfide is basically insoluble in water and neither direct nor indirect exposure is expected. The log Pow is not sufficient for an inorganic compound to estimate the potential of accumulation in sediment.
