First-aid measures

General Advice: If symptoms persist, call a physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. Use of alcoholic beverages may enhance toxic effects. Irritation may be delayed for several hours.

Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist

Skin Contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing all contaminated clothes and Shoes. If skin irritation persists, call a physician. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse.

Inhalation: Remove from exposure, lie down. Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Obtain medical attention.

Ingestion: Clean mouth with water and afterwards drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting .Treat symptomatically. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Immediate medical attention is required. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media - water spray, or dry chemical
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: high volume water jet

Specific Hazards Arising from the Chemical

Specific hazards
- Combustible material
- Dust can form an explosive mixture in air
- Heating or fire can release toxic gas (Carbon monoxide, Sulphur oxides, Nitrogen oxides (NOx))

Specific methods
- Cool containers / tanks with water spray
- Keep product and empty container away from heat and sources of ignition
- Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system
- Prevent product from entering drains
- Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into Drains

Protective Equipment and Precautions for Firefighters
Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing
- Evacuate personnel to safe areas
- Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak
- Wear protective gloves/clothing and eye/face protection
- Wear respiratory protection

Environmental precautions
- Remove immediately adhering matter
- Prevent product from entering drains
- Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
- Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth), then place in a chemical waste container
- Do not flush with water
- Avoid dust formation
- Use a suitable vacuum cleaner
- Use explosion-proof equipment

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling
- Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge
- Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation
- Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment
- Avoid dust formation
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing
- Wear personal protective equipment
- Do not breathe vapours/dust
- Use only in an area equipped with a safety shower
- Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location
- Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product
- Wash hands after handling
- Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- In accordance with local and national regulations
- Keep in a dry, cool place
- Do not store near acids
- Do not store together with oxidizing and self-igniting products
- Use spark-proof tools and explosion-proof equipment
- Keep away from heat and sources of ignition

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls
Engineering Controls
- Local exhaust

Personal Protective Equipment
Eye/face Protection
- Tightly fitting safety goggles
- Face-shield

Skin Protection
- Wear suitable protective equipment

Hand Protection
- The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/689/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it - The suitability for a specific workplace should be discussed with the producers of the protective gloves.

Respiratory Protection
- In accordance with local and national regulations - In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment Suitable mask with particle filter P3 (European Norm 143).
- In case of higher concentration self-contained breathing apparatus.
