Description of key information

Data have been obtained from secondary source (EPA databank and  several pubblication.

EC50 for terrestrial plants 7.07 (unit 1e-5 M = 13 mg/L) based on germination has been choosen as the most relevant and conservative data.

Additional information

High concentrations of dinitrophenol are toxic to the growth and development of plants, especially at lower pH (Overcash et al., 1982).

The most relevant and conservative study on plants defines an EC50 of 7.07 (unit 1e-5 M) = 13 mg/L.

Raphanus sativus (Radish)seeds were exposed for a duration of 5 days for 1 dose at day of 2,4-Dinitrophenol in alpha-(Nonylphenyl)-omega-hydroxypoly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), N,N-Dimethylformamide carrier through. The plant was dipped or soaked in the aqueous(hydroponic)media.
