General Information

Implementation:
EU
Remarks:

Under storage conditions, the substance is a solid.

After heating the substance to 25 ºC, the substance is a liquid.

Vinylene carbonate has been evaluated to possess no oxidizing and no explosive properties, based on structural grounds (see section 4.14 and 4.15). Furthermore, the substance does not contain chemical groups indicating self-reactive properties, such as aminonitriles, haloanilines, organic salts of oxidizing acids, sulphonyl halides, sulphonyl cyanides, sulphonyl hydrazides, phosphites, strained rings, olefins or cyanates. Therefore, based on structural features it is concluded that the substance is not self-reactive.

The substance is not deemed to be corrosive to metals based on experience in using the substance.
