Conclusions:
The toxicity of phenylacetonitrile to Rhizopertha dominica and Musca domestica was tested. The insecticidal action of the substance was investigated for 24h and mortality was recorded. The LC(50)24h was 2.37 and 0.97 mg/L for Rhizopertha dominica and Musca domestica respectively

LC(50)24h= 0,97 mg/L was tested. Under the test conditions, an EC50(30min) was observed of 1.34 mg/L.
Executive summary:

The databank reports the toxicity of phenylacetonitrile (CAS n° 140-29-4) to the invertebrates Rhizopertha dominica and Musca domestica. The insecticidal action of the substance was investigated for 24h and mortality was recorded. The LC(50)24h was 2.37 and 0.97 mg/L for Rhizopertha dominica and Musca domestica respectively.
