Description of key information

EC50 was determined at 0.087 mg/L, which is far from the limit of 1 mg/L. Allyl bromide was not detected in the test solutions at the end of the study, so if it wouldn't be the case the result would be less than 0.087 mg/L. In all cases, allyl bromide needs to be classified as Dangerous for Environment with H400 phrase: Very toxic to aquatic life.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
0.087 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
0.041 mg/L
