Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.
After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.
After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a physician.
After swallowing: If symptoms persist consult physician.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: No specific antidote. Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, the following can be released:
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
Advice for firefighters, Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
Chemical resistant protective suit.
Under the protective suit a fire protective suit according to EN 469 should be applied.
Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Wear protective clothing. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/ aerosol.
Environmental precautions: Keep contaminated washing water and dispose of appropriately.
Do not allow undiluted product or large quantities of it to reach ground water, water course or sewage system.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders,
universal binders, sawdust). Put damaged containers into recovery drums.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Fill only in dedicated and assigned containers.Keep containers tightly sealed.
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles:
Store in a dry location, keep away from humidity. Store in a cool location.
Corrosion of metals: It should generally be borne in mind that there is a possibility of corrosion on contact with this material. Resistance should be checked in each individual case.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from oxidising agents.Protect from heat and direct sunlight.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Additional information about design of technical facilities: Check seals on flanges and valves for suitability and corrosion resistance.
If necessary inspection intervals should be defined.
According to Art. 17 and 18 of EU-Regulation 1907/2006 (REACH) this substance is used as isolated intermediate under strictly controlled
conditions.
Respiratory protection: In case of brief exposure or low pollution use respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer exposure use self-contained respiratory protective device.
Protection of hands: Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.
Eye protection: Safety glasses
Body protection: Use protective suit with self-contained breathing apparatus.
Risk management measures: General protective and hygienic measures have to be observed.
Handling and use of this material/formulation only under controlled conditions in closed systems.
Employees who use this material/formulation must be trained and demonstrably instructed about possible risks for man and environment.
Measures for prevention of hazards in case of unwanted leakage shall be implemented.
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known.
Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous decomposition products: Nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
Recommendation: Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations.
Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do
not allow product to reach sewage system. If possible recovery or recycling.
Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
