First-aid measures
1. Description of first aid measures
Eye Contact:
Flush with large amounts of water. Remove contact lenses if easy to do. Continue rinsing. If signs/symptoms persist, get medical attention.
Skin Contact:
Wash with soap and water. If signs/symptoms develop, get medical attention.
Inhalation:
Remove person to fresh air. If you feel unwell, get medical attention.
If Swallowed:
Rinse mouth. If you feel unwell, get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures
1. Extinguishing media
In case of fire: Use a carbon dioxide or dry chemical extinguisher for extinction.
2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Exposure to extreme heat can give rise to thermal decomposition.
3. Advice for fire-fighters
No unusual effects are anticipated during fire extinguishing operations. Avoid breathing the products and substances that may result from the thermal decomposition of the product or the other substances in the fire zone. Keep containers cool with water spray when exposed to fire to avoid rupture.
Accidental release measures
1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Refer to other sections of this SDS for information regarding physical and health hazards, respiratory protection, ventilation, and personal protective equipment. Evacuate area. Ventilate the area with fresh air. For large spill, or spills in confined spaces, provide mechanical ventilation to disperse or exhaust vapors, in accordance with good industrial hygiene practice. Warning! A motor could be an ignition source and could cause flammable gases or vapors in the spill area to burn or explode.

Avoid release to the environment.
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Contain spill. Working from around the edges of the spill inward, cover with bentonite, vermiculite, or commercially available inorganic absorbent material. Mix in sufficient absorbent until it appears dry. Collect as much of the spilled material as possible. Place in a closed container approved for transportation by appropriate authorities. Seal the container. Clean up residue with detergent and water. Dispose of collected material as soon as possible.

Handling and storage
1. Precautions for safe handling
For industrial or professional use only. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash thoroughly after handling. Avoid contact with oxidizing agents (eg. chlorine, chromic acid etc.) Keep away from reactive metals (eg. Aluminum, zinc etc.) to avoid the formation of hydrogen gas that could create an explosion hazard.

Store away from heat. Protect from sunlight. Store away from strong bases.

2. Exposure controls
2.1. Engineering controls
For those situations where the fluid might be exposed to extreme overheating due to misuse or equipment failure, use with appropriate local exhaust ventilation sufficient to maintain levels of thermal decomposition products below their exposure guidelines. Use general dilution ventilation and/or local exhaust ventilation to control airborne exposures to below relevant Exposure Limits and/or control dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. If ventilation is not adequate, use respiratory protection equipment.
2.2. Personal protective equipment (PPE)

Respiratory protection :
During heating: Use a positive pressure supplied-air respirator if there is a potential for over exposure from an uncontrolled release, exposure levels are not known, or under any other circumstances where air-purifying respirators may not provide adequate protection.
Wear respiratory protection if ventilation is inadequate to prevent overexposure.
Select one of the following approved respirators based on airborne concentration of contaminants and in accordance with local regulations:
-Half facepiece or fullface air-purifying respirator with organic vapor cartridges and P95 particulate prefilters
-Half facepiece or fullface supplied-air respirator

If the product is exposed to extreme condition of heat from misuse or equipment failure, toxic decomposition products that include hydrogen fluoride and perfluoroisobutylene can occur.
Disposal considerations
1. Waste treatment methods
Dispose of contents/ container in accordance with the local/regional/national/international regulations
Reclaim if feasible.
Incinerate in an industrial or commercial facility in the presence of a combustible material. Combustion products will include HF. Facility must be capable of handling halogenated materials.
The coding of a waste stream is based on the application of the product by the consumer. No waste code(s) for products after use will be provided. Please refer to the European Waste Code (EWC - 2000/532/CE and amendments) to assign the correct waste code to your waste stream. Ensure national and/or regional regulations are complied with and always use a licensed waste contractor
