First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 10 minutes. Seek immediate
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with soap and water. If
irritation develops seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride
and soot.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective
clothing should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Solid: Wear suitable protective clothing, see 2.3.1.

Solutions: Wear a face mask that gives protection against
organic vapours and suitable protective clothing (eg boots,
gloves and coverall).


Cover spillage with suitable inert material and transfer to
containers for disposal in accordance with local, state or
national legislation. Wash the spill site with water.
Washings must be prevented from entering surface water
drains. Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into water
courses must be alerted to the appropriate regulatory body.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Observe usual precautions when
handling organic chemicals. Protective clothing, gloves and
eye/face protection should be worn.

Storage: Store in sealed containers in a cool, well ventilated place.
Keep away from sources of ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 200 litre steel drums.
