First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water,
holding the eyelids apart, for at least 10 minutes. Obtain
immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Take off immediately all contaminate clothing. Wash skin
immediately with water followed by soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show the
container or label. Provided the patient is conscious wash
out mouth with water.
Fire-fighting measures

For large fires use foam or water fog. Avoid use of water
jet.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with some soot and hydrogen chloride.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective
clothing should be worn in fire conditions.
Accidental release measures
spillages. This means wearing a face mask that gives
protection against toxic dusts, eye protection, chemically
resistant gloves, boots and coveralls. Cover spillage with
moist sand, soil or sawdust. Transfer to a container for
disposal. Wash the spillage area with water. Washings must
be prevented from entering surface water drains. Toxic to
aquatic organisms.
Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into water courses must
be alerted to the appropriate regulatory body.
Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or
national legislation.
Handling and storage
only in well ventilated areas. Take precautionary measures
against any static discharges.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed and in a well ventilated
place. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Chemical treatment is not considered appropriate.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Discharge to water must not be carried out in view of the
toxic nature of the product.
Disposal to landfill should not be carried out.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: This is the recommended method of disposal. High temperature
incineration at 1100-1200 deg C with at least 2 seconds
residence time should be used together with scrubbing of
combustion gases to remove oxides of nitrogen and hydrogen

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: This is not a suitable method of disposal in view of the
toxic nature of the product and low ready biodegradability.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
