Exposure controls / personal protection
skin: not applicable
eyes: not applicable
inhalation: not applicable
Instructions regarding broken lamps: These instructions only apply to broken lamps
Ventilation: Use both general and local exhaust ventilation to maintain exposure levels below the Long or Short terms limits. If such ventilation is not available us the respirators as specified below.
Respiratory protection: European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warant a respirator´s use.
Eye protection: The use of safety glasses, goggles or face shields is recommended for handling broken lamps, as described in European Standard EN 166.
Protective clothing: Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Hygiene: After handling broken lamps wash thoroughly before eating, handling tobacco products, applying cosmetics or using toilet facilities.
Stability and reactivity
Acgih:
TLV-TWA 10mg/m3 Particles (Insoluble or poorly soluble). Not otherwise specified, inhalable particles.
TLV-TWA 3 mg/m3 Particles (Insoluble or poorly soluble). Not otherwise specified, respirable particles.
Engineering controls:
Use local exhaust ventilation to keep airborne concentrations below exposure limits.
Personal protective:
Eye/Face Protection: Safety glasses are required.
Skin Protection: Protective gloves are recommended.
Respiratory Protection: Air-purifying respirator.
Environmental Exposure Controls: No information available.
Disposal considerations
Do not dump this material into sewers, on the ground or into any body of water.
Product:
There are no uniform EC regulations for the disposal of chemicals or residues. Chemical residues generally count as special waste. The disposal of the latter is regulated in the EC member countries through corresponding laws and regulations. We recommend that you contact either the authorities in charge or approved waste disposal companies who will advise you on how to dispose of special waste.
Packaging:
Disposal in compliance with official regulations. Handle contaminated packing in the same way as the substance itself. If not officially specified differently, non-contaminated packaging may be treated like household waste or recycled.
