Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: Guideline VDI 2263, sheet 1 (Grewer-oven)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, fifth revised edition, 2009, Appendix 6
GLP compliance:
yes
Auto-ignition temperature:
> 438 °C
Remarks on result:
other: no self-ignition temperature was observed up to 438 °C (final oven temperature)
Relative self-ignition temperature:
> 438 °C
Remarks on result:
other: no self-ignition temperature was observed up to 438 °C (final oven temperature)

The temperature of the test item showed an endothermal effect from ambient temperature to approximately 100 °C. No exothermal effect was observed up to 438 °C (final oven temperature). After the test the basket was empty.

Conclusions:
The substance showed no self-ignition up to the final oven temperature of 438 °C.
Executive summary:

According to the guideline VDI 2263, sheet 1 (Grewer-Oven) no self-ignition temperature was observed up to 438 °C (final oven temperature).

Due to these results the test item does not have to be classified as a "self-heating substance", class 4.2 of the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods / Manual of Tests and Criteria and according to chapter 2.11 of the GHS (CLP) regulations.
