Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Half-life for reaction with photochemically-produced hydroxyl radicals: estimated to be 13.251 hours

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in air:
45.3 h

Additional information

Phototransformation in air was assessed from read across approach data available for the structural analogue 4-MHHPA as similar chemical and environmental fate properties were assumed. Stability of the substance in the atmosphere was calculated using the computer program AOPWIN (v 1.92). It is predicted that the substance will be degraded in the atmosphere by reaction with photochemically-produced hydroxyl radicals. The half-life for this reaction in air is estimated to be approximately 45 hours
