Sodium acrylate forms in aqueous solution ions equivalent to acrylic acid.Therefore a read across to acylic acid is justified.
The study of the partition coefficient of the acrylic acid is chosen as cross reference. The logPOW of the acrylic acid at 25 °C is determined to be 0.46 according to OECD 107.A theoretical value for sodium acrylate was calculated to be -3.37 at 25 °C.
