Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The test substance does not have explosive properties.
Executive summary:

In accordance with EU Method A.14 and in compliance with GLP the test substance gave negative results in tests for determining thermal and mechanical (both shock and friction) sensitivity.

Therefore the test substance is not classified as an explosive.

Description of key information

The test substance did not explode when exposed to heat, mechanical shock or friction, EC Test A.14, Schürch 1993.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The explosiveness of the test substance has been determined based on the thermal sensitivity (effect of a flame) and mechanical sensitivity (both shock and friction) in accordance with EU Method A.14 and in compliance with GLP. It was concluded that the test substance is not explosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available information, classification on explosiveness is not warranted in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation No. (EC) 1272/2008.
