First-aid measures

The person applying the first-aid measures should pay attention to self-protection.
After inhalation: remove to fresh air.
After skin contact: wash with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and footwear.
After eye contact: ensure adequate flushing of the eyes, for at least 15 minutes, by separating the eyelids with fingers.
After ingestion: do not induce vomiting and rinse the mouth, if the affected person remains concious. Get medical attention.
In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, foam or dry chemical powder, always bearing in mind the surrounding area.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: do not allow fire-fighting water to enter sewers or watercourses, collect it separately and treat it as a waste.
Protective equipment: protective clothing and respiratory protective mask.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: avoid inhalation and contact. Wear protective goggles, protective clothing, respiratory protective mask and protective gloves.
Environmental precautions: collect spillage immediately. Label and treat as a waste.
Methods for Cleaning up: absorb the liquid with appropriate absorbent material (celite or similar) and place into a suitable container for disposal according to local regulations. Provide ventilation and thoroughly clean leak area.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Avoid inhalation and contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact. Do not eat, drink and smoke during the use.
Conditions for safe storage: keep container tightly closed, away from heat and direct sunlight.
Specific end use(s): manufacture of active ingredients. Respect the handling instructions.
Handle the substance under strictly controlled conditions according to Article 17(3) of REACH Regulation. Rigorous containment should be achieved.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters:
Occupational exposure limits: personnel must first be informed / trained in the specific operation and in the use of the relevant protective equipment.
Appropriate engineering controls:
Individual protection measures:
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Respiratory protection: wear protection mask, with amines filter.
Hand protection: anti-acid protection gloves. EN 374.
Eye protection: protective goggles or face protection.
Skin protection: protective clothing
Environmental exposure controls: avoid discharge into the environment
The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions during its whole lifecycle as described under Article 17(3) and Section 2.1 of the Guidance for Intermediates. The substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle and procedural and control technologies should be in place in order to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure as described under Article 17(3). Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in cases of accidents and where waste is generated. The PPE may be also used as a good practice.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity
Chemical stability: the product tends to polymerize and / or degrade with the passage of time and light.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: strong acids and oxidizing agents.
Conditions to avoid: high temperatures, pressures and improper handling of the containers. Avoid prolonged exposure to light.
Incompatible materials:
Hazardous decomposition products: under normal conditions of storage and handling no dangerous decomposition products are known. May release toxic gases upon combustion, such as nitrous oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2).

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods: dispose waste in accordance with applicable EU, national and local regulations. Recycle or dispose uncontaminated containers.
