First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures:

In all cases keep  the victim at physical and mental rest and warm. Always seek for medical help.

Inhalation:

Breake the exposure, transfer the victim to the fresh air, apply artificial respiration, if the victim is not breathing.

Skin contact:

Flush the affected area with plenty of water (preferably lukewarm), carefully remove the contaminated clothing  as soon as possible and continue washing the affected skin. After the rinsing cover the affected area with a clean cloth and seek medical advice.

Eye contact:

Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Never neutralize! Move to the physician while continue rinsing.

Ingestion:

Rinse out mouth with clean water, give 0,5 L water to drink, do not induce vomiting. Immediately call in physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

Dry chemicals, CO2, foam, water-spray.

Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons:

Stream of water.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

In case of burning toxic  and irritating fumes may be formed (nitrogen oxides, carbon oxides, hydrogen cyanide and other).

Advice for firefighters:

In the event of fire, vear self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 137) and clothing protective against chemicals.

Cool the tanks containing the product with a water jet from a safe distance, in case of fire.

Accidental release measures

Precautions for safe handling:

Avoid inhaling of product vapours.

Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Use personal protective equipment. Keep principles of personal hygiene.

Wash hands with warm water and soap before breaks and after work.

Provide fresh water for first aid.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Store in original tightly closed containers in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area.

Thoroughly protect from atmospheric moisture.

Store locked up.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use personal protective equipment.

Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation.

Do not eat, drink or smoke during the work and observe the personal hygiene principles.

Wash hands with water and soap before breaks and after work.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Store in original tightly closed packings in dry areas protected from direct weather conditions (light, heat, frost, moisture). Store in cool place.

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.

Product reacts violently with alcohols, acids, bases, amines and oxidizing agents by formation of gaseous compounds.

Protect from moisture. Open fire, heat.

Materials to avoid:

Moisture. Water.

Hazardous decomposition products:

Nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide and other toxic gases forms in case of fire.

Other information:

Access of moisture may cause rupture of containers.

Disposal methods of the substance/preparation:

Incinerate in incinerating plant for danger  waste in accordance with local environmental regulations.

Must be disposed of in compliance with the respective national regulations.
