- EC50
- Effect conc.:
- 36.3 mg/L

- Remarks on result:
- other: 95 % CL: 30.4 to 44.0 mg/L
- Details on results:
- - no mortality in control group after 48 h of exposure
- pH values of individual concentration levels increased form 7.4 (5.3 mg/L) up to 10.1 (100.0 mg/L)
- pH values over time did not vary more than 1.5 units (except samples containin g100 mg/L test item)
- dissolved oxygen exceeds 8.1 mg/L throughout the entiry test duration
Any other information on results incl. tables
- at the highest test concentration of 100 mg/L all test animals have already died after 24 h probably caused by the prevailing pH of 10.1
- measured concentrations always were greater than 80 % of nominal concentrations (the lowest measured concentration accounted for 94.7 % of nominal values) justifying the use of nominal concentration for test evaluation
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Executive summary:
The acute toxicity of cyclohexylamine to aquatic invertebrates (Dapnia magna) was tested according to OECD TG 202. After 48 hours of exposure an EC50 of 36.3 mg/L was obtained (MITI, 1997).
