First-aid measures

- General information

Keep warm, position comfortably and cover well.

Seek immediate medical advice

- After inhalation

Supply fresh air and call for doctor for safety reasons.

In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.

- After skin contact

Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.

- After eye contact

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.

Call a doctor immediately.

- After swallowing

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water.

Administer medicinal carbon

Do not induce vomiting; instantly call for medical help.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing agents

CO2, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight larger fires with water jet or alcohol-resistant foam.

- For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with a full water jet.

- Special hazards caused by the material, its products of combustion or resulting gases:

Formation of poisonous gases during heating or in fires.

Exposure controls / personal protection

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.

Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Manufacturer/User of the Registrants intermediate.

- Personal protective equipment

- General protective and hygienic measures

Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.

Take off immediately all contaminated clothing

Wash hands during breaks and at the end of the work.

Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and food.

- Breathing equipment: Use breathing protection in case of insufficient ventilation.

- Protection of hands:

The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.

Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/ the chemical mixture.

Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.

Material of gloves: the selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

- Penetration time of glove material the exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

- Eye protection: Safety glasses recommended during refilling.
