First-aid measures

GENERAL ADVICE

Take off immediately all contaminated clothing (including shoes).

INHALATION

Move to fresh air.

Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed.

Keep  under medical surveillance.

In case of problems : hospitalize.

SKIN CONTACT

Wash immediately and abundantly and thoroughly with water

Consult quickly a doctor.

In case of extensive burns, hospitalize.

EYE CONTACT

Wash well-open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly  for at least 15 minutes

Consult an ophtalmologist quickly.

INGESTION

Do not induce vomiting, rinse mouth and lips with plenty of water if the subject is conscious,

then hospitalize.

Water spray, dry powder, special foam for polar solvents.

SPECIFIC HAZARDS

Thermal decomposition into organic vapours forming explosive mixtures with air.

Hazards of over pressurization in containers or barrels exposed to heat : explosion risk.

Thermal decomposition giving flammable and toxic products : SOx, NOx, COx, HCN, H2S.

Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

Accidental release measures

In case of leak, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.

Complete suit protecting against chemicals.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapours.

Do not let the product enter into drains.

Do not contaminate surface water.

METHODS FOR CLEANING UP .

Recovery - Shovel up and shovel. Recover the product and place in a dry labelled container. Store in waterproof containers

Disposal - Destroy the product by incineration (in accordance with local and national regulations).

1/Technical measures / Precautions :

Storage and handling pracautions applicable to products : Flammable, Toxic, WIith vapours explosive in air.

Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinrey.

Provide showers, eye-baths.

2/ Safe handling advice:

Prohibit contact with skin, eyes and inhalation of vapours.

Prohibit all sources of sparks and ignition

Do not smoke.

Open drums carefully as content may be under pressure.

STORAGE .

1/ Technical measures / Storage conditions:

Keep  in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Store protected from moisture, heat.

Provide electrical earthing of equipment and electrical equipment usable in explosive atmospheres.

2/Incompatible products :  

Oxidizing agents, acids, water, strong bases, ammonia, amines, hydrazin, halogens, alcohols.

PACKAGING MATERIALS .

1/ Recommended :  Metal drums with internal polyethylen coating.

2/ To be avoided : : iron(non passified), zinc and alloys, Rubber.
