Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance decomposes before boiling.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

During measurement of the autoignition properties, the substance was observed to thermally decompose at temperatures at or above 150 °C, giving off grey fumes/smoke. Although decomposition was not observed in DSC experiment up to 400 °C, the sample was not exposed to open atmosphere and thus may have avoided oxidative decomposition. Numerous supplier safety data sheets report boiling temp as "> 200 °C", which also indicates that a precise boiling temp. cannot be determined due to decomposition.
