Description of key information

Flash point: 136 °C @ 100.35 kPa.
No pyrophoricity.
No flammability on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The key parameter for the flammability of a liquid is the flash point, which is discussed in IUCLID chapter 4.11.

Considering the structural formula and experience in handling and use it can be stated that pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water is not a concern for the substance (expert statement).

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL

of 16 December 2008 the substance does not meet the criteria for classification as "flammable".

Flammable liquid means a liquid having a flash point of not more than 60 °C.
