- Because Triglyme has predicted Koc of 1.9 L/kg sorption to sewage sludge is very low. Therefore transfer of Triglyme into agricultural soil via sludge amendment can be neglected. Also indirect exposure via deposition from air is very low because of rapid photodegradation of Triglyme in air. Based on this fact terrestrial ecotoxicity tests are not warranted. The statement given above fulfills the requirement for waiving as given in 1907/2006/EC Annex IX Column 2, 9.6.1: Any need for testing should be carefully considered taking into account the large mammalian dataset that is usually available at this tonnage level.
