Additional information

To determine the toxicity of methyl vinyl ether to aquatic invertebrates a GLP test with the analogous substance isobutyl vinyl ether following the method laid down in OECD guideline 202 using Daphnia magna was performed.

The read-across is suitable because the substance has te same functional groups and a comparable moelcular structure and size, according to SIDS Initial Assessment Profile 23, 17-20 October 2006.

The estimated EC50 (48h) value in this study was 52 mg/L, related to the mean of the analytically determines concentrations (BASF 2004).
