Description of key information

Physical appearance

The test item is a colorless clear liquid at 20°C 1013 hPa,asdescribed in the reliable study of melting and boiling point data.

4.2

Melting point

The test item has no melting point down to a temperature of - 73.7°C at atmospheric pressure (994 – 996 hPa) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.1., OECD Test Guideline 102 (1995).

Boiling point

The test item has a boiling point of 99.3 °C corrected to normal atmospheric pressure (1013 hPa) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.2., OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995).

Density

The relative density D420 of the test item at 20 °C ± 0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) is D420= 0.890 

according to Regulation EC 440/2008 Part A. Method A.3.,OECD Test Guidelines 109 (1995).

The test item has a partition coefficient of 1.31 at 22.1°C as determined by HPLC method according to EU Method A.8, and OECD Test Guideline 117 (2004).

The test item has a water solubility of 19.0 g/L (pH 4.4) at 20 +- 0.5°C as determined by flask method according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.6., OECD Test Guideline 105 (1995).
