Description of key information

After 72 hours of exposure to 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1-dioxide (CAS No. 81-07-2) to various nominal test concentration, EC25 was found to be (>200mg/l and calculated as 569.581 mg/L (with an R square of 0.961). Further other study indicates NOEC as 1000 mg/L; thus the substance is not short term toxic to algae

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
1 000 mg/L
