Accidental release measures

A procedure governing the actions and behaviors to adopt in case of accidental release is in place.

Handling and storage

The substance dissolved in MeOH (50% w/w); is received in UN-approved metal drums. The metal drums are held in locked storage area in the warehouse. Access to the area and handling of drums is permitted only to authorized personnel.

Exposure controls / personal protection

The substance is transferred into the reactor using vacuum in a chemical hood.
Subsequent phases of chemical transformation are carried out in closed-cycle plants. Envirometal emmision are assurated by analitycal measure.

Stability and reactivity

Disposal considerations

The drums are cleaned by chemical degradation using alkaline solvent.
Drums are discarded as not hazardous CER170405 special waste .
The waste solvents are driven off as special hazardous waste CER070503.
