PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION
- Method: a saturated solution was prepared. A dispersion of 100 mg/l prepared in dilution water was shaken with 110 rpm for 24 h at room temperature. After 24 h particles were removed by centrigugation at 3000 rpm for 20 min. 5 dilution levels of the saturated solution were tested.

Conclusions:
The difference of the rate-related inhibition and Yield inhibition measured for group A (test item dissolved in the test medium) and group B (test item solution above the algae cultures) is below 10%. Therefore the observed inhibition is caused by lack of light and not by direct intoxitation.
The test substance has no effect to the Yield inhibition and the Specific Growth Rate Inhibition of green algea until the limit of the solubility of 38.9 mg/l of the substance
