Reference
Endpoint:
particle size distribution (granulometry)
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with section 7.14 of column 2 of REACH Annex VII, it is considered justified to omit this study as the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form.
Where the substance is supplied as a solid, the physical form of the material resembles solid flakes, the size of which are too large to make particle size determination (according to the standard methods) feasible. In cases where the substance is supplied as solid flakes, testing for this endpoint is omitted on the basis of REACH Annex XI, Section 2 (testing is not technically possible).
