Description of key information

The test item was not bioaccumulated in worms. The concentration of the test substance in worms was found to be 0.04 mg/kg and 0.21 mg/kg fresh weight after 21 days of incubation in 2 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg dry mass assays. These amounts are the residues of the contaminated soil in the worm gut after gut defaecation.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study showed that the test item was not bioaccumulated in the worms since the concentration in the worms is markedly below the concentration in the artificial soil, indicationg that the test item is not absorbed in the tissue. This was also confirmed by the rapid decrease of the test item in the worms within one day during the elimination process.
