Executive summary:

The dissociation constant of the substance was determined based on an assessment of the properties and chemical structure of the substance. The structural assessment suggests that there will be no dissociation under normal environmental or biological conditions. Under extreme acid or basic conditions, the OH group at the end of each ethylene oxide group could in theory dissociate, but the conditions would need to be more extreme than found under normal biological conditions, therefore the substance is not expected to dissociate under normal conditions.

Description of key information

This test does not need to be conducted as it is considered not possible to test the substance accurately based on the properties of the substance and in accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX. The substance is surface active, multi-constituent and poorly water soluble, making testing of the substance difficult. Based on its structure, the substance is not expected to dissociate under normal environmental or biological conditions.
