In the preliminary test the water solubility was determined to be between 1 and 5 g/L. Based on this the initial concentration of about 10 g/L for the final part of the test was chosen.

The determined final result for water solubility of the test substance was an averaged value for 3 time points after adding the test substance to the water, 24, 48 and 72 hours and was calculated to be 2.8 g/L. The pH value was measured to be 7 at all time points.

The individual results of determined concentration of test substance and the pH values at the different time points are presented in Table I, duplicate water solubility results per time point are graphically displayed in the report.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): soluble (1000-10000 mg/L)
The water solubility of 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl hydroperoxide is 2.8 g/L at 20°C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl hydroperoxidewas determined in duplicate based on OECD guideline 105 at a temperature of 20°C. The data on water solubility represent the saturation mass concentration of the test substance in water.

The determined final result for water solubility of the test substance was an averaged value for 3 time points, 24, 48 and 72 hours and was calculated to be 2.8 g/L.
