A study was conducted according to JIS K2265-1:2007 to determine the flash-point of the test item. Therefore, a Tag closed cup flash-point tester was used. The test cup was filled with the test item and heated with a temperature rise of 5 - 6 °C/min. The test flame was applied so that the flame was lowered into the vapour space of the cup in 0.5 s, left in its lowered position for 1 s, and quickly raised to its high position. The sample was not stirred while the test flame was applied. No flash was observed up to 94 °C. In conclusion, the flash point of the test substance is > 94 °C under the conditions of the test.

A preliminary test was performed using the Tag closed cup flash point tester and no flash was observed up to 94 °C. Therefore, the main study was not performed. The atmospheric pressure on the day of the test: 101.7 kPa Corrected flash point: > 94 °C
A preliminary test was performed using the Cleveland open cup flash point tester and a flash point of 150 °C was found. In the main test, the test flame was applied at each 2 °C temperature rise. The atmospheric pressure on the day of the test was 101.1 kPa. The results of the main test are summarised in the table. The corrected flash point was determined to be 150 °C.
