Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water, Seek medical attention if irritation
devlops. Change contaminated clothing.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink water, do not induce vomiting, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide and foam may be used. Water spray may be used
but care should be taken as the substance reacts violently
with water (cf. 2.3.5).
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain carbon, nitrogen and
sulfur oxides.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spillage. Wash area with water to produce less
hazardous product. Absorb waste with sawdust, sand or other
suitable absorbent. Collect mechanically for disposal by
incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes, do not inhale substance.
Wear protective clothing, an air-fed face mask and gloves
(polychloroprene or polyvinyl).
Storage: Store in a cool dry place, protect form all sources of heat,
flame and ignition.
Keep containers well-sealed.
Do not mix with substances that may react (water in
particular).
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Exposure to xylene vapour (preparation solvent) and the
presence of an isocyanate group in the substance indicates a
risk to respiratory systems.
Chemical reaction with water: Reacts violently with water liberating carbon dioixde.
Formation of carbon dioixde in confined places (increased
pressure, risk of asphyxiation) is possible.
Dust explosion: Not applicable.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
