Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Kühne (2010): Key study according to OECD 105 "Water solubility" (adopted 1995) and EC council regulation 440/2008. GLP compliant study. Relaible without restrictions.
Water solubility: < 1.39 µg/L, at 23 °C and pH 7. The substance beryllium oxide is considered as insoluble in water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1.39 µg/L
at the temperature of:
23 °C

Additional information

- The key value for water solubility of < 1.39 µg/L (at 23 °C, pH 7) is based on a fully reliable study without restrictions (Kühne 2010).

Values given by Remy (1924) of < 0.2 mg/l (non guideline study) and EPA (1987) where no numerical value was reported are considered as less reliable and relevant.
