Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation
- Move the person away from the contaminated area. Make the affected person rest.
- If necessary seek medical advice.
Skin contact
- Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear.
- Wash with soap and water.
Eye contact
- Rinse with running water whilst keeping the eyes wide open. (at least 15 minutes).
Ingestion
- NEVER attempt to induce vomiting. Rinse mouth out with water.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
- Carbon dioxide (CO2), Foam, Powders, Water spray
Fire fighting methods
- Self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Cool down the containers/equipment exposed to heat with a water spray.
Accidental release measures
NO flames, NO sparks. Eliminate all sources of ignition.
Mechanically ventilate the spillage area, whilst avoiding the formation of explosive concentrations.
Use flame-proof equipment to collect up the product and place it in a spare container:
- suitably labelled.
- tightly closed.
Keep the recovered product for subsequent disposal at an authorized site.
Handling and storage
Store the container tightly closed, away from any source of heat, at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
Earth the equipment used to transfer the product.
Avoid the build-up of electrostatic charge.
