Action area 5: Support to end-users

Action 5.1: Improve the presentation on safe use of mixtures in the SDS

Sharing expectations among the different end-user sectors on the information that they wish to receive in the (extended) safety data sheet. Good practices should be identified and promoted.

Status: Ongoing

This action connects to the bottom-up approaches under action 4.4. See there for further information.

In addition, to support downstream end-users a number of activities have been completed to help explain the important features of REACH that are relevant to them. These include explainer videos, editable presentations, and an e-learning tool on the extended safety data sheet. Work is also underway to illustrate how the different elements of the extended safety data sheet can support end-users in meeting their obligations under other European Union legislations on chemicals at industrial sites. This work is regularly reported at ENES meetings.
