Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
From 07 May 2018 to 28 May 2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

No endothermic or exothermic effect of the test item was observed. It demonstrated that the test item is not self-ignitable.

After the experiment, the test item was - just as before the test - a black powder.

Conclusions:
The test item is considered 'not self-ignitable' under the conditions of the test.
Executive summary:

The self-ignition temperature of TIPAQUE BLACK SG-101 was determined using a temperature programmed laboratory oven, a stainless steel wire mesh sube, NiCr/NiAl thermocouples and a temperature recording device.

Based on the results obtained the test item is considered 'not self-ignitable.'
