Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- General advice:
Seek medical attention in the case of discomfort.
- Following inhalation:
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Seek medical attention in the case of discomfort.
- Following skin contact:
Remove affected person from source of contamination. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water for
several minutes. Seek medical attention if discomfort occurs.
- Following eye contact:
Make sure to remove any contact lenses from the eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids.
Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention.
- Following ingestion:
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Rinse mouth thoroughly. Drink plenty of water. Get medical attention.
- Most important symptoms and effects: The severity of the symptoms described will vary dependant of the concentration and the length of exposure. No serious effects are known.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing media:
Small fires: Extinguish with alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder. Larger fires: Water spray, fog or mist.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Hazardous combustion products: During fire, toxic gases (CO, CO2) are formed. Hydrogen fluoride (HF).
Heat may cause the containers to explode.
The product is flammable, and heating may generate vapours which may form explosive vapour/air mixtures.
- Advice for fire fighter:
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: No specific fire fighting procedure given.
Protective equipment for fire-fighters: Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.

Wear protective clothing as described under 'exposure controls / personal protection'.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

- Environmental precautions:
Do not discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground. Contain spillages with sand, earth or any suitable adsorbent material.
Collect and dispose of spillage as indicated in 'disposal considerations'.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Stop leak if possible without risk. Absorb spillage with suitable absorbent material. Collect in containers and seal securely. For waste disposal, see 'disposal considerations'.
Handling and storage

Eye wash facilities and emergency shower must be available when handling this product.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep containers tightly closed. Protect from light, including direct sunrays. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Do not store near heat sources or expose to high temperatures. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Container must retain an air space, to avoid anaerobic polymerisation. Store below 10°C

Exposure controls / personal protection
Organisational protection measures: Provide eyewash station.
Hand protection: Nitrile gloves are recommended.
Feete protection: Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact.
Body protection: Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact.
Eye protection: Wear approved safety goggles.
Respiratory protection: In case of inadequate ventilation use suitable respirator. In case of inadequate ventilation, use air-supplied full-mask.

: Stable under the prescribed storage conditions.
3. Possibility of hazardous reactions
Hazardous Polymerisation: May polymerise.
Polymerisation Description: Polymerises easily with evolution of heat. Keep cool.
4. Conditions to avoid
: Avoid heat, flames and other sources of ignition. Avoid exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
5. Incompatible materials
: Strong oxidising substances.
6. Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon dioxide (CO2). Hydrogen fluoride (HF).
Disposal considerations
Waste to be treated as controlled waste. Disposal to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with local Waste Disposal Authority.
