Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study was performed to assess the ready biodegradability of the test substance according to OECD 301D, in compliance with GLP. The substance was weighed onto a glass fibre filter. The filter was then transferred to individual BOD bottles to which test medium was added to achieve a concentration of 2 mg/L. Since the test substance was water insoluble, actual concentrations were dependent on addition of neat test material to individual BOD bottles, and ranged from 2.00 to 4.67 mg/L. The test substance was biodegraded to 62.6% after 28 d. Since aniline, the positive control material, exceeded the pass level by degrading to 92.2%, this test can be considered valid. Under the study conditions, the test substance was considered to be readily biodegradable (Lee C, 1992).
