- Executive summary:
A study was performed to assess the partition coefficient of the test item N,N-dimethyldodec-9-enamide by the slow-stirring method according to OECD TG 123 and EU Method A.23.
Three determinations were carried out at 25 ± 0.5 °C. 50 mL of octanol saturated with water containing the test item were equilibrated with 650 mL of ultrapure water saturated by octanol. The concentration of the test item in octanol was to 22.5 g/L. Equilibrium was obtained when the observed log Pow reached a plateau. The test item concentrations were monitored in both phases by GC-FID.
The partition coefficient of N,N-dimethyldodec-9-enamide at 25 ± 0.5 °C, based on three determinations with the slow-stirring method was 4.26 ± 0.008.
