First-aid measures
General advice:
Do not leave the victim unattended.
Protection of first-aiders
If potential for exposure exists refer to specific personal protective equipment.
If inhaled:
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If unconscious, place in recovery position and seek medical advice. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
In case of skin contact:
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. In the case of skin irritation or allergic reactions see a physician. Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash clothing before reuse.
In case of eye contact:
Immediately flush eye(s) with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
If swallowed:
Rinse mouth with water. Keep respiratory tract clear. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment:
No special measures required.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media:
In case of fire, use water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or CO₂.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
High volume water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards during firefighting:
In a fire or if heated, a pressure increase will occur and the container may burst.
Hazardous combustion products:
No hazardous combustion products are known
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighters:
Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.
Further information:
Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity of the incident if there is a fire. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions:
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Do not touch or walk through spilt material. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions:
If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up:
Stop leak if safe to do so. Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Dispose of wastes in an approved waste disposal facility.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Advice on safe handling:
Protect from moisture. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Hygiene measures:
General industrial hygiene practice.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Requirements for storage areas and containers
Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials and food and drink. Protect from moisture. Open and empty container only by applying suction apparatus on the spot. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Electrical installations / working materials must comply with the technological safety standards.
Advice on common storage:
No materials to be especially mentioned.
Storage class (TRGS 510)
10, Combustible liquids
Further information on storage stability:
No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
