Flammability
The determination of the flammability of the test substance was performed in accordance with the EU method A.10. The test substance (EC: 433-100-1) could not be ignited with a flame. In contact with the ignition source, the test substance (EC: 433-100-1) coloured black. However, the test substance could not sustain a burning reaction. In conclusion, the test substance (EC: 433-100-1) is not highly flammable according to the criteria as described in the EU method A. 10.
Pyrophoric solids
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is known to be stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days) and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied.

Self-heating
In accordacne with Annex XI of REACH and the ECHA Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (Version 4.1), the test for self-heating substances was waived. According to Article 5 of Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP) the information shall relate to the forms or physical states in which the substance is placed on the market and in which it can reasonably be expected to be used. The substance is produced in situ into basic oils forming a stable grease. The substance is never isolated, stored or transported in an isolated form. The phenomenon of self-heating applies only to solids, as surface of liquids is not large enough for reaction with air and the test method is not applicable to liquids. Thus, the test on self-heating properties for the substance in its forms, in which the substance is placed on the market, is not applicable and classification procedure does not need to be applied.
Justification for classification or non-classification
In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.1, Section 2.2, Section 2.3, Section 2.7, Section 2.9, Section 2.10 Section 2.11, Section 2.12 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as readily combustible solid in class 4 Division 4.1, self-heating substance in Class 4 Division 4.2, substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases in Class 4 Division 4.3, pyrophoric liquid, pyrophoric solid in class 4 Division 4.2, flammable gases in class 2 or as aerosol in class 2.
Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
The available experimental test data is reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. Based on available data on flammability, the test item is not classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for thetwelfthtime in Regulation (EU) No 2019/521.
