Description of key information

Hydrolysis study

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
1 yr
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

1.Per REACH requirements The study does not need to be conducted if: the substance is highly insoluble in water The solubility of TBBA-bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether is 0.144 µg/l (20°C)

2. In 2003 GLP study no degradation was evident in triplicate samples prepared in pH 4, 7 and 9 buffer solutions after a 5-day incubation period at the elevated temperature. The test substance was considered hydrolytically stable over the environmentally relevant pH range with a half-life (t/1/2) greater than 1 year.
