Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

There is a valid, well-documented GLP OECD 203 guideline study without relevant deviations on the 2,3-epoxypropyl isopropyl ether itself available, assessed with Klimisch 1. In this study, the following LC50 values were determined: ≥ 100 mg/L (3, 6, 24, 48, 72 h), 71 mg/l (96 h). The results can be considered as sufficiently reliable to assess the toxicity of 2,3-epoxypropyl isopropyl ether to fish (rainbow trout).

Based on the obtained results, the test item does not need to be classified as acute hazardous to the aquatic environment according to the Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. However, as the test item is not readily biodegradable, a classification as aquatic chronic Cat. 3 is triggered.

The database is of high quality, and the tonnage-driven data requirements under REACH are fully met, hence, no data gap was identified.
