Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in air:
0.089 d
Degradation rate constant with OH radicals:
0 cm³ molecule-1 s-1

Additional information

A half-life of 0.089 days is calculated for reaction of 1,3:2,4-Bis(3,4-dimethylbenzylidene) sorbitol with hydroxyl radicals in the atmosphere at 25°C [AOPWIN Program, v.1.92]. Based on this results, 1,3:2,4-Bis(3,4-dimethylbenzylidene) sorbitol

is considered to rapidly degrade in the atmosphere via photooxidation process.
