Description of key information

In an OECD 201 study after 72 hours there was no acute toxicity up to the highest test concentration and the ErL50 was reported as > 4910 mg/L. The NOELr was reported as 31.25 mg/L. The results are expressed in terms of Effective Loadings (EL).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
4 910 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
31.25 mg/L

Additional information

The key value has to be understood as > 4910 mg/L as there was no effect up to the highest test concentration of 320 mg/L.

The substance has not a definite or unique structure and consists of serveral components. A Water Accommodated Fraction (WAF) was used to test effects at a limit effective loading of 100 mg/L no specific analysis was performed. The content of the water soluble fractions of the test item during the exposure period was verified by HPLC analysis and UV/VIS-detection.
