Description of key information

The submission substance is readily biodegradable (fulfilling the 10-day window requirement, including nitrification) and adsorption to sediment is not very pronounced (OECD 106). An assessment based on the aquatic PNEC using the equilibrium partition approach with the experimentally determined adsorption coefficient indicated that there is no need for further testing with regard to sediment toxicity.
