The results of the isothermal TGA analysis for the test item are given inTable 2.

At the start of the measurements weight loss, due to evaporation of volatile components (i.e. water), was observed.

Weight loss was determined in the range of 100°C – 130°C. No reliable vapour pressure could be determined, since non-linear weight loss was observed. The correlation of variation R was <0.99 within this temperature range for the first measurement and the two measurements combined. As the only alternative, the weight losses of the test item were compared with the weight losses of hexachlorobenzene. Since the weight loss of the test item was lower than the weight loss of the reference compound, the vapour pressure of the test item is considered to be lower than that of hexachlorobenzene. The corresponding values are given inTable 3.

Conclusions:
The isothermal TGA effusion method was applied for the determination of the vapour pressure of Acetic acid, oxo-, sodium salt, reaction products with ethanolamine and phenol, sodium hydroxide and ferric chloride.
The vapour pressure of the test item at 20°C (293K) and 25°C (298K) was <0.0015 Pa and <0.0041 Pa, respectively.
