Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The explosion potential of the substance was tested in accordance with the relevant EU method. The substance showed no sensitivity with regard to shock, friction or thermal induction. Furthermore, the molecule does not contain functional groups associated with explosive properties. The substance is considered non explosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

This study for the determination of the explosive properties was performed in accordance with the EU method A. 14., Official Journal of the European Communities, 92/69/EEC, No L 383, December 1992. The available data are considered reliable without restrictions and adequate. Based on the results, the substance does not meet the criteria for classification under 67/548/EEC, as amended for the 28th time in Directive 2001/59/EC, Annex VI, section 2, 2.2.1.

According to the additional criteria for classification 2.1.4.3(a), of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, Annex I, part 2, if the molecule does not contain functional groups associated with explosive properties, the substance shall not be classified. As a result, given the lack of functional groups indicating explosive properties, this substance does not meet the criteria for classification under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
